To get games and other windows programs to run inside ubuntu 11.10 you can simply run the command “apt-get install wine” or you may need to install a different version of wine(they messed the sound up somehow but this fixes it.)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
sudo apt-get install wine
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Almost done, just need to launch winetricks real quick to add some things like microsoft fonts and such. Simply run the following account in terminal/konsole under the user you wish to use wine in.

winetricks corefonts vcrun2005 vcrun2008 vcrun2010 d3dx9
